Newly Listed, (as of the time of this post). This auction for a 1967 Barbie Campus Queen Metal Lunch box has had Only Four (4) visitors, and No Bids!

Seller's Description:
Up for auction this classic Barbie metal litho lunch box from 1967 made by King-Seeley Thermos. It features Barbie and Ken, her date, all decked out for the big campus ball. She’s wearing a long prom dress in pink with bows, fur stole and cape, long white gloves and tiara. Ken of course looks stunning in an evening tuxedo. The side litho designs are great and show Barbie in action on campus at a dress shop, soda fountain, studying with girlfriend and vintage TV in the background, and an LP sock hop (those were the days).

The back of this box is pretty cool with a board game printed on it (we presume it came with a spinner and some magnet pieces). The object is to spin and reach the “Campus Queen” square, with such obstacle squares as “You failed your exams, return to start”, “Stopped to chat with friend, wait one turn,” and “You need a hairdo for the prom, go back to beauty parlor.” Great stuff and classic 1960s.

Size is 8.5x7x4 inches. This piece is in really great condition. It does have edge wear on the paint, but the designs front, back and sides are all really good. White plastic handle is sturdy and the latch works great. Inside is good with only a couple of small rust spots. (See all of our photos.) This will make a great addition to your Barbie or lunchbox collection.
