Purple Passion Barbie
for sale

An absolutely Gorgeous Barbie doll, the Purple Passion Barbie was manufactured by Mattel and first offered in 1995 as a Special Edition doll sold only in the Toys 'R Us stores. Unfortunately, she is no longer available through Mattel. (So I went Barbie shopping.)

During my Barbie shopping this mourning, I discovered two different versions of the Purple Passion Barbie doll, and have presented them both here, with pictures, and links.


Purple Passion Barbie (Red Head)

The first Purple Passion Barbie doll I found,
has long reddish hair accented with a purple ribbon bow.
She is wearing a beautiful long purple gown with glitter
and multi-colored necklace and earrings to match.

She comes NRFB in her original box which is in excellent condition.

Purple Passion Barbie (Brunette)


The second Purple Passion Barbie I found is a Brunette with Exceptionally Long hair, and appears (at least in the picture) as having a slightly darker skin tone.



Note: I shall endeavor to find out more about these Toys 'R Us, Special Edition Purple Passion Barbie dolls and update this post with better descriptions, lot numbers, and any other versions that may exist. Until then, and please, if you have any infomation about these dolls, let me know and I will update accordingly, and credit you.

1967 Tiwst’N Turn Stacey

Up for Auction is a Twist N Turn Stacey Doll from the Barbie Collection by Mattel New in Factory Sealed Box never opened. The Copyright date on this item is 1967. The catalog number is 1165. You are buying from the grandson of the original owner, and this doll has never been used, owned, nor played with by a child. See History Below. Doll - The pictures say it all with this doll. She is just beautiful as if she were just put on the store shelf yesterday! She has copper penny hair, blue eyes, black eyelashes, red finger nails, red toes, and pink lips. Her name tag is still attached at her wrist. Hair color tag on box says Copper Penny. I see only one spot on her neck that looks like a dirt smudge. It is approximately 1/16" long by 1/28" wide. I did my best to show it in a picture but it's just too small and the package has not been opened. There is one close up and you can barely see it in the picture. Box - There is a tiny scratch in the back of the box (pictured), a tiny hole on one side (pictured as well but hard to see – pinhole sized), and the seam on the bottom of the box is starting to separate (pictured but again hard to see). Look at the pictures carefully. For being 41 years old, this doll is just about perfect from what I can tell! The pictures are the best description of this items condition. Pictures have been taken from all sides. Please view the pictures carefully as this is an as-is auction. History -I found this doll in a box in the garage. The doll had been stored there since it was purchased in 1967. Apparently my grandmother had forgotten it was there. We live in Southern California and there is very little humidity here and temperatures are pretty constant. It was kept out of sunlight for 30 or so years before I found it. Since then she has been in the back of a cabinet, out of sunlight and in constant temperatures in a pet free, smoke free home. I have decided to sell her, after quite a few years, to someone who will enjoy her. I had hoped to save her for a daughter but only had boys and don't expect them to enjoy a Barbie much. The only reason I kept it this long is because my wife talked me into keeping her all this time – my wife's name is Stacey like the doll. She has decided to let her go because she never gets seen or appreciated here and she knows someone will adore her. I am NOT a collector or an expert on Barbie Dolls. I am NOT a dealer either. This is the only one I have. So please bid accordingly and realize that I cannot answer questions that a doll collector would know. I did my best to describe her as she is but please remember that this is an as-is auction. I believe she is truly a treasure and a very rare find indeed! Payment is due within three days of the close of the auction. I will not ship her without insurance so once the auction has closed, a final invoice with the correct shipping and insurance will be sent to the winning buyer.

Pony Tail Barbie, Color Magic Barbie, Bubblecut Barbie and more. (29) Twenty Nine Vintage Barbie dolls and sixty two pieces of Barbie clothes were bought at an estate sale in California and are now being auctioned off on ebay. Although newly listed, this Barbie doll collection already has nine bids. And with five days still left in the auction, well, this is going to be one to watch.

Seller's description is somewhat "sparse", to say the least. But they have provided lots of pictures and will answer questions.

This auction is for a Very Large Vintage Barbie 29 Doll's and 62 Pieces of Clothes, it was purchased from local Estate Sale, was going to sell individually the Dolls, but decided to sell as a whole lot. Some of the dolls are Ponytail, Color Magic, Bubblecuts, and many others The Color Magic is a little thin on the hairline. Other than this all dolls are very nice.

Ok, I really don't know what to make of this Barbie doll clothes "Want Ad", other than it comes from a father who cares about his little Barbie girl. So without my saying anything else...


Craigslist Want Ad:

Is there anyone out there who is looking to unload some Barbie Doll clothing. My sweet 6-year-old daughter is doing some weird stuff with the limited number of clothes that she has. I guess she is trying out creative combinations. For instance, the other day she had a doll dressed in what I thought was a new halter top blouse when I realized that she is now using skirts as strapless shirts/blouses. So there was her Barbie wearing a skirt for a bottom and another skirt for a top. Very creative, but also very sad. Present financial circumstances prohibit us from "unnecessary" spending. If you have old Barbie clothes that you're planing on throwing away, would you consider letting my daughter have them? Thanks.
